150-year-old Bass Rock Golf Club tees up for the first time.
The welcome debut appearance by Bass Rock Golf Club at the Braids, where the 122nd edition gets underway on Saturday, has been teed up to mark its 150th anniversary this year.
“We are honoured to be representing Bass Rock,” said Gareth Pugh, who is in a squad along with Duncan Forbes, Justen Ross, Andy Hall and Stuart Rowell.
The eyes of the golfing world are on Scotland this week as many of the world's best compete at the Genesis Scottish Open. While that will take place across the Renaissance Club between Gullane and North Berwick in East Lothian, another course nearby is capturing hearts.
American superstars Jordan Speith, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler have all been spotted taking to the fairways at North Berwick Golf Club just along the course. And it is not hard to see what attracted them to the town.
